Blackwood Forest is a 270-hectare beech wood near Micheldever, north of Winchester, and the cabins are scattered among the trees. There are sixty, each with a hot tub, and the place is cabins only. Sat-nav note: the postcode can send you to an industrial estate, so follow the Forest Holidays signs to the entrance about a quarter of a mile further along Larkwhistle Farm Road.
Cabins sleep from two up to eight. On site there is a restaurant, bike hire, a play area, archery and air rifle sessions, and a self-led trail. Spa treatments and food delivery to the cabin can be booked in advance. Pet-friendly cabins are available.
