Rookesbury Park is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site in parkland near Wickham, with the Forest of Bere at its edge. It has 142 touring pitches and 12 for tents, 85 of the 154 on hardstanding, and takes outfits up to 9.5m. Non-members can book.
Part of the site is set aside as a children's play and picnic area. Wickham is about two miles away for a small Co-op and pubs, and Fareham has a Sainsbury's with motorhome access. Forest walks are suggested from the office, and National Cycle Route 2 passes nearby.
Portsmouth ferry port is about 12 miles away and one-night ferry pitches can be booked online or via the app. Fort Nelson, the Portsmouth historic ships and day trips to the Isle of Wight are all close. Mobile food vans visit.
