Wild Farm Escapes is the camping side of D'Oyleys Farm at Stadhampton, 25 acres of cattle country with only 16 pitches, six of them right on the River Thame. Eco Pitches are the riverside ones, with a private compost loo, a six-person picnic table and a firebowl, and a welcome box with logs and firelighters. Freedom Pitches are in the open meadow a short wander from the water, sharing compost loos, and suit up to four people, campervans and roof tents.

There are communal showers, a covered decked gathering area called The Holt with hammocks and a shared barbecue, and an honesty-system farm shop with farm beef, eggs, logs and a freezer you can use. You can swim in the river, and there is a wood-fired sauna that is booked by the session. The Owl's Nest is a wooden tiny home with a woodburner and an outdoor bath. Stadhampton village and a bus into Oxford are a short footpath walk away.
