Coed Temple Druid is a small, car-free campsite in the foothills of the Preseli hills in north Pembrokeshire. There are just four big pitches mown into a grass meadow, each with its own firepit and a box of wood, and you wheel your kit in from the parking area in the barrows they lend you.

Everyone shares a covered round-house kitchen stocked with crockery, pans and a gas hob, plus a communal firepit, compost toilets and tree bogs, and an off-grid gas shower with solar pump. Drinking water comes from a spring. There is no wifi and phone signal is patchy, though it improves on the hill by the stone circle. A separate yurt in the trees has a wood burner, a double and a single bed and its own shower. Caravans and campervans can't be taken, and two well-behaved dogs are welcome for a small fee.
