fforest farm is the original base of the fforest group, 200 acres above the river Teifi beside the Teifi Marshes nature reserve, a short drive or a walk through the reserve from Cardigan. There is no pitching a tent here: you stay in one of the farm's own buildings, all with a private kitchen or camp kitchen and either an ensuite or a bathroom reserved for you a short walk away. Choices are the round domes with a log burner and king bed, Onsen domes with a Japanese-style outdoor soaking tub, three-bedroom Garden Shacs, four-bedroom Hill Shacs, Crog lofts and the five-bedroom Georgian farmhouse Ty fforest.
On site there is a woodland nature spa with a sauna, wood-fired hot tub and cold plunge (open most weekends, extra charge), a pub that opens at busy times, supper nights in summer and school holidays, and breakfast on the bed and breakfast rate. Footpaths and boardwalks run through the marshes and reed beds. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in most accommodation for a nightly charge.

Prices
Prices appear in the booking engine once you choose dates. Minimum stays are 2 or 3 nights for a weekend (Friday arrival), 2 or 4 nights midweek (Monday or Wednesday arrival) and 7 nights for a week; 2 night stays can be booked online outside school holidays. All payments are non-refundable. A pre-authorisation of £100 per unit (£300 for Ty fforest) is held on arrival and released within 7 days of departure. Nature spa is £40 to £50 per person with a discount for guests.
