Mwnt Camping is a smallholding run by Dylan and Helen on three acres of sloping meadow above the Ceredigion coast, ten minutes by car from Cardigan. Pitches are 10 to 12 metres across, each with its own fire area, and the views run from the Atlantic to the Preseli Hills. Cars stay in a parking area at the bottom, so you carry or barrow your kit up, and there are only grass pitches with no hardstanding, which rules out big motorhomes and caravans.

For a softer landing there is a furnished five-metre bell tent and a small vintage caravan with a boho interior. The hot showers, flushing and compost loos, washing-up area, shared fridges and USB charging are all included in the price, with no coins or extras for awnings. Weekend crepes are made with eggs from the farm, there is organic veg in season, and a barn with games and a book swap for wet days. The site is dog-free, quiet after 10.30pm and has no amplified music.
