- Adults only
Chacewater Park is a family-run, adults-only touring park on Cox Hill, set on about six and a half acres of farmland in Cornwall's old tin-mining country. The ground is split into ten hedged or fenced enclosures, each holding six to fourteen caravans or motorhomes, and engine houses are visible across the fields. It is a few minutes from the A30, and buses to Truro, Penzance and St Ives stop a short way from the entrance.
Every pitch is all-weather hardstanding with a 10 amp hook-up, and serviced pitches add mains water and a waste drain. Motorhomes and caravanettes always go on hardstanding. There are two toilet and shower buildings with individual shower rooms, two laundry rooms, dishwashing sinks, three chemical disposal points, Calor exchange and a small shop for basics, milk and eggs. Dogs are taken by prior arrangement only, in a limited number, with separate dog-friendly areas and a large five-acre field next to the park for exercise. A takeaway visits on Wednesday evenings. Tents, trailer tents and families are not catered for.
