Castle Sween Holiday Park

Castle Sween Holiday Park sits on the shore of Loch Sween in Knapdale, part of the wider Ellary estate and a long way from the nearest town. Most of the park is privately owned holiday homes, but a block called Loch View is kept for lets: two and three bedroom static holiday homes on the front rows looking over the loch to the Isle of Danna and the Sound of Jura, with the ruined castle in the foreground.

Each home has a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and a deck with seating, and the weekly price covers gas, electricity and bed linen. You bring towels. The park has a shop, a restaurant and bar (Rafters), a 24-hour launderette, a small gym and open grass for ball games. You can launch a trailed boat from the slipway, though there are no moorings for visitors. Walks lead to Kilmory Chapel and Kilmory Beach.
