Birds and Bees is a family-run campsite on Rendham Hall farm, near Saxmundham. Sixteen pitches are spread across three meadows named for flowers, birds and mammals, and cars stay in a sunken car park so the fields are free of traffic. Trolleys and wheelbarrows are provided for carrying your gear.
The main building, known as the Beehive, has reception, a small honesty shop, hot showers and toilets, a kitchen area with a fridge freezer, kettle and microwave, and washing-up sinks. A composting toilet, drinking water and an electric socket sit in the middle of the meadows. Each pitch has its own fire pit, so you can have a proper campfire, with firewood and local meat available to buy.
It is a no-dogs, no-day-visitors site with no amplified music. The Suffolk coast, Framlingham and Aldeburgh are all close, and the National Cycle Route runs either side of the farm.
