Southwold Camping and Caravan Site
Council-run touring field on the edge of Southwold with grass and hook-up pitches, a short walk from the harbour and beach.
- Dogs welcome
This is a tidy, small campsite run by East Suffolk Council on Ferry Road, a short stroll from Southwold harbour and the beaches. Pitches are marked out in 10 x 10m bays with numbered signs, and you put your tent or van on one side and your car on the other.
You can choose plain grass, grass with electric, or a half-hardstanding pitch with hook-up for vans and caravans. There is also a cheaper lightweight pitch for a two-person tent with no car. Three toilet and shower blocks, a wet room, laundry and a battery charging service cover the basics. Dogs are welcome on leads, but fires and charcoal barbecues are not allowed.
