York Rowntree Park Club Campsite

A 99-pitch all-year Club site on the bank of the River Ouse beside Rowntree Park, close enough to walk into the middle of York along the river. Non-members can book. A gate at the back leads to a parade of takeaways and convenience shops.
It is a popular site and fills quickly. The site lies inside the York flood defence boundary, so if the Environment Agency activates the defences it may have to be evacuated at short notice; the Club asks you to phone the site before travelling. The Club says to avoid the postcode for navigation and use its recommended route past the Swan pub to avoid low bridges and the city centre.
