Westerly Lake is a small family-run touring park on the edge of Wheldrake, about seven miles south-east of York. There are twenty hardstanding pitches, each with a 10 amp hook-up; seven sit on the lakeside and have hardstanding for the awning, while the rest have a grass awning area. The two-acre spring-fed lake is stocked for coarse fishing, so a fair share of guests come to fish.
The park is adults only: no children under 16 and, after repeated fouling, no dogs. The toilet and shower block has free hot showers and there is a separate pot-washing room. Wheldrake's shop, post office and pub are a ten minute walk, with an hourly bus into York and a park and ride at the Designer Outlet a short drive away.
