Sunnyfield is an eight-acre wildflower meadow reached down narrow lanes south of Canterbury. There are only 32 pitches, each mown out of the long grass with its own firepit, and cars stay at the entrance: you wheel your kit in on a barrow.

You can pitch your own tent, park a campervan on grass (no hardstanding), or take a furnished five-metre bell tent with a king bed, cooking kit and fire grill. There is no electric hook-up and no wifi. Facilities are hot showers (including converted horsebox showers), compost toilets, washing basins and standpipes, with wood-fired pizza most weekends and a small cafe for coffee. Quiet from 10pm; dogs are welcome on leads.
