South Penquite Farm

South Penquite is a 200-acre organic beef and sheep farm high on Bodmin Moor. The camping field has no marked pitches: you arrive and pick your own spot, and numbers are limited to keep it spacious. Tents, roof tents, trailer tents, campervans and small motorhomes are fine; caravans are not accepted and there is no hook-up or chemical disposal.

Hot water is solar heated and showers are free, each in its own family-sized room. There is a laundry with fridge and freezer, phone-charging lockers, play areas, outdoor gym kit, EV chargers, and a summer cafe where the wifi is. Home-reared lamb burgers, sausages and bags of wood are sold at reception.

Dogs are allowed only on a limited number of dog-friendly pitches in their own field, with a fenced dog-walking field; they are not allowed in the yurts or The Snug. The farm also has four yurts and The Snug, a six-person bunkhouse-style unit.
