Bake Farm sits on the A354 just outside Coombe Bissett, a short drive or an hour's walk from Salisbury. Campers choose their own spot in one large, fairly flat field with views towards the cathedral; there are no marked pitches, no play area and no hook-ups.

The facilities are simple but clean: flush toilets, hot showers, a washing-up area and a covered picnic spot with lighting, plus free Wi-Fi, USB charging, ice-pack freezing and an Elsan point. Firewood is on sale and raised fire pits are allowed.

It is run as a calm site: nobody under 5, no visitors, no hen or stag parties, and at least one adult over 21 in every party. Stays are capped at seven nights and everything is booked in advance online.
