Ponsandane Camping

Ponsandane is a five-acre level field at Chyandour on the Penzance side of Gulval, screened from the road by mature trees with a stream along one edge. It is one of the few Cornish sites you can use without a car: the railway and bus station and the town centre are about ten minutes on foot, the beach is across the road, and a Tesco is next door.
There are two toilet and shower blocks, one refitted in 2021 with seven individual wet rooms, plus a dishwashing room with fridge-freezers and a washing machine and dryer. A takeaway cafe on site does breakfasts and light lunches.
Pricing is simple: a per-adult nightly charge with no pitch fee for the main tent, and small extras for cars, vans, hook-up and awnings. The site only opens in summer; for 2026 it has closed and it reopens on 22 May 2027.

2026 tariff; no 2027 prices yet and the booking system opens 2 January 2027. One site rate all season. Single adults pay 10 pounds a night; two or more pay 8 each. Caravan 6 pounds plus 4 pounds for the car.
