Treganhoe Farm

Treganhoe is a family-run mixed farm on the Penwith peninsula near Penzance, in the same family for around a hundred years. The stay is eight canvas hideaways, sold through Feather Down Farms, each with a wood-burning stove, a firepit outside and no mains electricity. Bedding, towels, candles, matches and a pack of wood per day are included, and each tent has its own shower.

Guests can help feed the sheep, pigs and goats, pick up bread and croissants from the honesty shop and order home-cooked meals delivered to the tent. A soup supper on the first evening is on offer, and there is a pizza night in the farmyard oven on some evenings when enough people book. Beaches on the north and south coasts, including Sennen Cove, Marazion and Porthcurno, are within a half-hour drive. Dogs are not accepted.
