Pettycur Bay Holiday Park

Big seaside holiday park on the Fife coast with a first-come tent and tourer field, hire caravans, an indoor pool and leisure centre, 35 minutes from Edinburgh.

  • Some dogs
  • Pool
  • Near beach

Pettycur Bay sits above the Forth at Kinghorn with views across the water, and is mostly known for its hire and owner caravans. The campsite is a separate tourer and tent area on the same park, with hardstanding and grass pitches, electric hook-ups, and a utility block with showers, washing facilities, chemical disposal and accessible facilities. Tent campers pitch at the east end of the touring area. You cannot reserve a pitch: turn up between noon and 8pm, choose a spot, then pay at reception, which also gives you the toilet access key. Easter and bank holidays are usually full, so ring on the day.

Everything else on the park is in reach of the camping area: a leisure centre with an indoor pool heated to around 28 degrees, a paddling pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, gym, soft play, arcade and snooker, plus a restaurant, lounge bar, shop and laundry. If you would rather not camp, hire caravans range from two-star to five-star executive models and sleep six. Pets are allowed on the touring pitches but not in tents.
