Nicholaston Farm has taken campers since the 1920s and still runs as a working farm. The fields slope gently south over the Bristol Channel, with the Gower Coast Path running along the boundary and a footpath through Crawley Woods and the dunes reaching the beach in about ten minutes. That beach can only be reached on foot, so it stays quiet.
Tents and smaller VW-style campervans go in two meadows, one beside the farm shop and one a short walk away on the beach-path side, with electric pitches terraced flat and the rest on gentle slopes. Caravans and motorhomes have their own field with a service point, dog wash and outdoor showers for rinsing surfboards. Pitches are not allocated, you choose on arrival. There is a takeaway cafe and shop, free Wi-Fi across the site, free showers open round the clock, fridge-freezers and lockable phone-charging cabinets. Up to two dogs are welcome on a short lead. It is a family site, so groups and stag or hen parties are not taken.
