Quarry Lodge sits just outside Whitemill, a short drive from Carmarthen, next to a small working farm. It is run by one family and kept deliberately uncrowded: meadow pitches are well spaced, some with their own fire pit, and there are hardstandings and a separate wild camping area for walkers and cyclists.

The facilities are modest but thorough: two family bathrooms (one accessible), two free showers, a washing-up kitchen with fridge, freezer and kettle, device charging, and an undercover games area with pool, table tennis and table football. Fresh eggs are sometimes on sale. You can also stay in The Truck, a converted 1968 Bedford flatbed with a vintage bus body bolted on, with a log burner and cooker. Booking is by phone, email or an enquiry form, and everyone has to join the Greener Camping Club (£12 for the year).
