This is one of the loch-shore permit areas the National Park Authority runs between March and September. You book a permit online, then pitch a tent anywhere inside the area; no specific spot is allocated and other permit holders may be camped nearby. It is wild camping, so there are no toilets, showers, bins or hard pitches, and you carry out everything you bring.

A permit covers one tent for up to three nights, with up to four adults plus children, and the tent and extras must fit within a 5m by 5m footprint. Parking is not included, so leave the car considerately and away from verges and passing places. Dogs must stay close to heel or on a short lead.
