  • Dogs welcome
  • Glamping

Cobleland sits on the River Forth in the Trossachs, just outside Gartmore, with Loch Ard Forest running up behind it. The 126 pitches fall into two areas. The meadow is open and flat by the river, with tent-only grass pitches along the water and gravel and grass pitches with electric further in. The woodland pitches are on three terraces cut into the bedrock, a better bet for campervans, motorhomes and caravans.

Walking starts at the site: a river trail leads to a small beach and picnic area, and a woodland walk heads into the forest and down to Aberfoyle. There is a small shop, two washroom blocks with laundry, free ice-pack freezers and a play area. Dogs are welcome on short leads and stay free, but groups of more than four adults or two families are not accepted, and open fires are banned. Four safari tents are available for glamping.
