Haulfryn opened in 2019 on the site of an old racecourse at Babell, just off the A55 and in view of Moel Famau. It is a small, tidy park of hardstanding touring pitches rather than a big holiday park, and it runs from March to October.
Every pitch has hardstanding, 16 amp electric and fresh and waste water connections, in sizes from 8m x 6m up to 11m x 6m for twin-axle caravans and larger motorhomes. The refurbished amenity block has heated towel rails, a laundry and indoor washing-up area, a chemical waste point and a disabled wet room that can also be booked as a private family shower room. Wi-Fi covers the site.
Dogs are welcome (two per vehicle) but not in the hot tub lodges. There are also two self-catering lodges with private hot tubs, and seasonal pitches for owners.
