Fron Farm Country Holiday Park

Fron Farm is a family-run working farm in the hills above Hendre, about ten minutes by car from Mold. The touring and camping area sits at the back of the farm on flat, well-drained grass, with tarmac roads through the park. There are three kinds of pitch: serviced gravel hardstandings with a tap, grey waste and electric, grass pitches with a power point, and plain grass camping pitches.

There is a reception and shop selling farm-reared meat, two toilet and shower blocks with free hot showers, coin-operated laundry, chemical disposal and two children's play areas. Cows, sheep, horses, pigs and hens are usually close by, and public footpaths run round the farm fields and down to the Coed y Felin nature reserve. Caravans and motorhomes should follow the park's own directions through Mold rather than the satnav, which sends cars over narrow hill lanes.
