- Glamping
Gwinear is a working farm site outside Cubert, inland from the Newquay coast, with large pitches laid out around a stocked fishing lake. Every pitch has its own electric hook-up and drinking-water tap, and they are split by hedging into grass, mixed and extra-large hardstanding rows.
Beyond the pitches there are three timber camping pods that sleep two, with a made-up bed, heating and a deck. The toilet and shower block is heated and has a disabled room and baby changing, and there is a laundrette, wetsuit wash, warm-water dog wash and a dog exercise field. A small cafe on site serves lunch through to the evening, and guests get discounted fishing tickets. The site takes couples and families only, not groups, and there is no arrival after 8pm.
