Treago Farm
Farm camping and touring field on the edge of Crantock with a bar and shop in the old courtyard, plus lodges, caravans and cottages, and a walk to the beaches.
- Dogs welcome
- Near beach
Treago Farm sits at the end of Crantock village, ringed by National Trust land and Cubert Common. Footpaths lead through the dunes to Crantock beach and Polly Joke, so plenty of campers leave the car where it is. There are 81 grass pitches for tents, tourers and motorhomes, with optional electric hook-up, and the farm also lets seven caravans, three lodges and three cottages.
The courtyard barns hold the useful bits: a shop with bread, pastries, papers, frozen food, an off-licence and Calor gas (open daily from mid May to early September), and Rafters, an upstairs bar in the old corn loft open from 8pm to 11pm over the same months. Children are not allowed in the bar, but there is a games room downstairs with table tennis and pool, and a volleyball pitch outside. Showers are free and hot, there are hairdryers and shaver points, a launderette and freezer facilities.
Pitches are charged per person rather than per tent, with no extra for tents, tourers, cars or awnings. In July and August there is a minimum nightly pitch fee. Booking is by paper form with a deposit, and in high season pitches go Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday. Dogs are welcome on a short lead and are exercised off the site.
