Outdoor Alternative (Cerrig yr Adar)
Low-impact family-run camping field on Holy Island, a short walk from Rhoscolyn beach, with bunkhouses and a static caravan on the same site.
See all 8 photos- Dogs welcome
- Near beach
Outdoor Alternative has been run by the same Anglesey family since 1985 and sits at the end of a bumpy lane in Rhoscolyn, on the southern tip of Holy Island. The camping fields have no marked pitches: you book, arrive, and choose a spot. It takes tents and campervans only, not motorhomes or caravans.
Facilities are small and tidy: a wooden block with three toilets and two showers, a hot-water washing-up area, an ice-pack freezer and phone charging. A container kitchen serves as reception and sells coffee, cake and charcoal. Barbecues can be borrowed, and disposable ones are not allowed. The coastal path and Borthwen beach start from the site.
The same site has two self-catering bunkhouses for groups and a six-berth static caravan with sea views.
