Bristol Camping is on Hortham Farm, a 200-acre arable farm at Almondsbury, a mile and a half from junction 16 of the M5. Tents go in a wood on the farm: there are no marked pitches, so you put up a tent, hammock or bivvy where you like. Cars park about 300m away and wheelbarrows are supplied for the carry. Firepits are available, and you can burn fallen dead wood. Stays are limited to three nights and the tent camping is a seasonal pop-up with hot showers and toilets.

The farm also has two CL touring fields, Field View and Wood View, on gravel hardstanding with hedges between pitches and metered 16 amp electric. These are for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only. There are no showers or toilets on the CL fields. The M4 and M5 are close, so expect some road noise. Pubs in Almondsbury are about a 30 minute walk, and the T1 bus runs to Bristol city centre.

Tent camping is charged per person per night. A firepit area for tent campers is £5 a night. CL pitches are £20 a night with metered electric at £1 or £2 coin-operated, and no extra charge for awnings, cars, dogs or extra people.
