Sumners Ponds

Family-run fishing-lake campsite in West Sussex with lakeside pitches, pods, bell tents, shepherd's huts, safari tents, a cafe and an on-site tackle shop.

  • Dogs welcome
  • Campfires
  • Glamping

Sumners Ponds is a 100-acre farm of lakes, woodland and meadow at Barns Green near Horsham, run by the Smith family. Fishing is the draw for many guests, but you do not have to cast a line: there is a lakeside cafe with a licensed bar, a children's play area and plenty of walking.

Camping is split across several areas. Ribbon Park and Sumners Park have electric pitches (some hardstanding, some lakeside) beside toilet and shower blocks, the Rally Field is a large non-electric field, and the Family Field is a private exclusive-use field for groups with its own toilets, showers, electric and fire pit.

If you would rather not bring a tent, there are camping pods, bell tents, B&B shepherd's huts, safari tents and lodges. Dogs are welcome on the campsite and there are hireable dog exercise paddocks.
