Scar Close is a 36-acre former hobby farm at the foot of Warton Crag, in the Arnside and Silverdale landscape, with views across Morecambe Bay and RSPB woodland along one edge. Tent campers get large grass pitches without electric hook-up, and in dry weather you can park next to your tent. Pre-pitched 5m bell tents come with a double bed and linen, and basic 4m bell tents come with sleeping mats only.

The holiday bothies are restored stone animal shelters with private hot soaking tubs, wood stoves, kitchens and bathrooms, open all year. Toilets are serviced cubicles with rustic showers, and morning coffee and croissants are sold on site. Open fires are not allowed except a ready-made stone campfire, and barbecues must be raised. Dogs are welcome on pitches and in the tents but not in the bothies.
