Our Welsh Caravan & Camping is on a working sheep farm beside a river, just off the A4093 between Gilfach Goch and Glynogwr in the South Wales Valleys. It is about 18 miles from Cardiff and a short drive from junctions 34 and 36 of the M4, so it works as a base for the capital, Porthcawl and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Pitches take tents, caravans and motorhomes, on grass or on a limited number of 16A hardstandings, with 10A or 16A electric bollards that carry a tap and dusk-to-dawn lighting. Showers are hot and free, there is free wifi (fine for browsing, not streaming), a coin-operated washing machine and a play area. Sustrans Route 4 runs opposite the entrance and the Taff Ely Ridgeway walk starts in Glynogwr. Dogs on leads are welcome, but there are no fire pits or open fires, no group bookings and no electric vehicle charging.
