Nant Newydd sits in a small sheltered valley on the outskirts of Benllech, on Anglesey's east coast. It is mostly a static caravan park with owners and seasonal tourers, but there is a separate hedged camping field for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents, open March to October.
Tourers can choose all-weather hardstandings with electric, water and waste, or grass pitches with or without a 16A hook-up. Camping guests get free hot showers in a heated block, laundry and washing-up facilities, and free use of the park's play areas, tennis court and outdoor heated pool (May to September, sessions booked at reception). Treath Bychan, Lligwy and Benllech beaches are all about five minutes by car.
It is aimed at couples and families: single-sex or mixed groups are turned away and bookings are capped at three pitches. Open fires and fire pits are banned, and dogs must stay on a short lead.
