Hinton Hideaways (formerly The Yurt Retreat) is a small adults-only retreat on Fordscroft Farm, 260 acres of organic farmland just outside Crewkerne, close to the Devon and Dorset borders. There are five private properties: two treehouses, a two-storey timber cabin, a curving timber-frame house called The Hide and a roundhouse called The Nest.

Each is fitted out for a couple, with a double or king bed, fitted kitchen, bathroom and wood fire bowl. Most come with a private infrared sauna and either a wood-fired hot tub or an outdoor bath, and Owl Cabin has a log burner. Wi-Fi is included. There is an honesty log store and shop and a washer and dryer on site.

The minimum stay is two nights. Children and pets are not allowed, and check-in is from 3pm with a key safe. Crewkerne, with a Waitrose and a Lidl, is two miles away and Hinton St George village shop is a mile and a half.
