Highfield is the camping and glamping half of Tralee Bay Coastal Parks, a family business running two parks side by side at Benderloch, about nine miles north of Oban. It has a mix of glamping pods, some with their own hot tubs, and 48 pitches for tourers and motorhomes on a seven-acre croft. Guests have a toilet and shower block, a covered washing-up area, laundry machines, free wifi, a communal barbecue area and a play park, with a woodland walk and the beach a couple of minutes away on foot.
The three pod types are the Argyll, the biggest, with a hot tub and forest views; the Highlander, a curved pod for two or three; and the Glencoe, a round pod with a private deck and hot tub. Pets are accepted in pet-friendly pods only, and pods are non-smoking.
