Cherry Tree is a small lodge site in the hills above Stroud, with a few timber lodges spaced out so each has its own decking, hot tub and fenced garden. Every lodge has a log burner, a kitchenette or kitchen, a private bathroom and its own barbecue and fire pit, and bedding is included along with a welcome basket of tea, coffee, bread and jam.
Lodges range from compact two-berth Squirrel with a captain's bed to two-bedroom Bluebell, which takes a family of four or five. Butterfly and Bumblebee are the couple-sized options, and Bluebell, Butterfly and Bumblebee are described as wheelchair accessible by ramp. Walks start from the gate, the Butchers Arms is a short stroll away, and Stroud, Cheltenham and Cirencester are all under 20 minutes by car. Stays are a minimum of two nights, and dogs are allowed with a charge that is set at booking.
