Wardley Hill is a twelve-acre off-grid site on the Norfolk side of the Waveney Valley, between the Broads and the Suffolk coast. The six-acre tent field is car-free: you park at the top and wheel your gear down in barrows to an unmarked spot of your choosing, some tucked into long grass, others open enough for a big family tent. Campervans and rooftop tents have their own area, and there is a separate recreation field where dogs can run off the lead.
Facilities are deliberately basic: composting toilets, a urinal, drinking water taps and two hot showers, with no electric hook-ups and no wifi. Campfires are welcome in the loan fire drums and firewood is sold on site. For a softer stay there is a Tentsile tree tent, a Tinkers Hut and an adults-only Tiny House, plus a 4x4 field for expedition vehicles. Caravans and trailer caravans are not allowed.
