Trekenning is a 6.5-acre park ringed by mature trees a few miles inland from Newquay, close to Newquay Airport and the A39. It runs mainly as a seasonal park, with caravans and tents on long lets, but takes holiday bookings for touring and camping by phone. Expect the odd aircraft or car noise.

Everything is within a short walk because the site is small: two toilet and shower blocks with a disabled toilet and baby change, washing-up sinks and a laundry. The big draw is the heated outdoor pool, with the Hayloft Bar and its conservatory and terrace beside it, and a children's play area. There is only one entrance, which keeps children contained. Fistral and Watergate Bay are the nearest well-known beaches, about seven miles away.
