South Valleyfield is a five-unit certificated site run by a retired couple on the Carse of Gowrie, with views to the Sidlaw hills. It sits just off the A90, roughly halfway between Perth and Dundee, and is for Camping and Caravanning Club members only.
Every pitch is hardstanding with a 10 amp hook-up and units up to 8.5m fit. It is adults only, tents are not accepted, and there are no toilets or showers, so you need your own sanitation. There is a dedicated on-lead dog walk and an orchard to sit in.
The rate is a flat price per unit including two adults, with a small charge for extra adults. Golf at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles is within about 45 minutes, and Dundee and Perth are both an easy drive.
