The campsite and cabins sit on level grass behind the MacDonald Hotel at the head of Loch Leven, a convenient stop for walkers on the West Highland Way. Campers share toilets, showers, a kitchenette and a drying room, and can eat in the Bothy Bar or order breakfast and packed lunches at check-in.

Only small tents are allowed: nothing bigger than a two-man tent and no taller than 1.2 metres. There are 12 all-season cabins as well, mostly with two bunk beds sleeping four, plus three newer ones with a double and a single bed. Bedding is included, towels are £2 each, and each cabin is let to one party only.
