Hampton Bay Park is a small family-run site on the Whitstable Road on the outskirts of Herne Bay, with the owners living on site. The main field has 25 grass pitches, 24 of them with electric, and a quieter adults-only field has 20 grass pitches, 12 with electric, at no extra charge.
Prices are per pitch for up to four people, with awnings free. Toilets and showers are open round the clock, and there is fresh water, washing up and a cassette waste point. The site runs on solar panels and battery storage.
The Old Garage Bar on the site puts on live acts and quiz nights in its concert room. Whitstable and Canterbury are a short bus ride away. Dogs are welcome on leads; commercial tow vehicles such as pickups and sign-written vans are not allowed.
