Fineshade Wood Campsite sits on the edge of Rockingham Forest in north Northamptonshire, between Stamford and Corby, on the old Caravan Club ground that Forestry England now lets out. There are 82 pitches in four types: grass with or without electric, hardstanding with electric, and service pitches with electric, water and waste. Wardens allocate your pitch when you arrive.

There are no showers, but toilets in the visitor centre are open round the clock to campers, and there are dog washing stations at both ends of the site. The visitor centre has a cafe and a bike hire and repair shop, with play areas, a wildlife hide and a sensory garden nearby, and forest trails start from the campsite. Up to three dogs stay free.
