Catgill Farm is a working farm on the Bolton Abbey estate, inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with two separate parts: a camping field open April to October and a glamping area on the edge of the woodland above it.
The glamping side is built around private wood-fired hot tubs. There are timber pods that sleep up to six, themed Alpine, Safari and Moroccan pods, super premium pods and a star-dome stay, plus bell tents with their own hot tubs. Three pods (the Duck, Stag and Pheasant) have fenced gardens and are set up for dogs. The camping field takes tents, trailer tents, roof tents and small campervans on electric or non-electric grass pitches, with a dog agility field, playground, alpacas, shop and a kitchen serving coffee, pastries and stone-baked pizza.
Cars come onto the camping field only to unload, which keeps it quiet for children. Pods are up the hillside with a buggy to carry your bags. Stag and hen parties and unaccompanied under-16s are not accepted.
