Whitefield Forest Touring Park

Family-run 5-star touring park in red squirrel woodland between Ryde and Brading, with hardstanding and grass pitches plus four-berth lodges.

See all 12 photos
  • Dogs welcome

Whitefield Forest is a family-run touring park that opened in 2007 on the edge of Whitefield Forest, just south of Ryde on the road to Brading. Every pitch has electric hook-up, and you can choose between grass pitches and fully serviced all-weather hardstandings with their own tap and grey water drain. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome, and motorhomes over 6m go on hardstanding.

The heated amenity block is kept to a very high standard and holds AA 5 Star Platinum status, with private cubicles, baby changing, accessible facilities, washing up and a laundry. A woodland walk with a squirrel hide runs around the park and there is a small play park among the trees. It is quiet outside the school holidays, so it suits couples and older campers, with families arriving in the summer.

Two-storey lodges with log burners, underfloor heating and a full kitchen are let all year. A good bus route runs past the gate, and Ryde's beaches and the Hovercraft are a short drive away.
