Thorncross is a tiny hamlet between Brighstone and Shorwell, and the farm runs a small Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site reached by a grass track straight off the Military Road. The two-acre field is level and all grass, with well-spaced pitches that each have hook-up and water, a chemical disposal point and bins.

There are no toilets or washrooms, so it suits motorhomes and caravans; tent campers are accepted if they bring their own chemical toilet. Children are welcome, though there is no play area and the working farm is off-limits. The clifftop at Barnes High is half a mile south for sunsets towards the Needles, Compton Bay is a short drive west, and the round-the-island cycle route passes the gate. The farm's 2.5-acre carp lake sells day tickets to experienced anglers. You need C&CC membership but can join on arrival.
