The Lakes Rookley is a holiday park built around a lake in 23 acres of parkland at Rookley, almost exactly in the middle of the Island, about a mile from Godshill. It is run by Away Resorts and is for self-catering stays rather than touring: caravans in several grades, cottages and lakehouses with decking over the water, many with hot tubs.
On park there is an indoor heated pool, an outdoor heated pool for warmer days, the Lakeside Bar and Eatery with a veranda over the lake, an entertainment lounge, an adventure playground, an activity centre and watersports on the lake. Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor beaches are each around 15 to 20 minutes' drive away, and dogs are welcome in many units.
