Stanley Villa Farm is a working-farm glamping site at Greenhalgh, between Preston and Blackpool, built around a set of fishing lakes. You stay in an insulated camping pod or a bell tent on decking, each with its own fire pit outside. There are no tent pitches: it is pods and bell tents only, and you bring your own bedding.
Nobody has electricity in their pod or tent. Instead there is a 24-hour lodge by the lake with a kitchen corner (kettle, microwave, toaster, fridges and freezers), three wet rooms with hot showers, seating and vending machines. A small shop sells ice cream, sweets and hot chocolate, and a food van serves breakfast butties and evening pizzas on Fridays, Saturdays and school holidays.
It is run as a quiet family site. Noise stops at 9.30pm and everyone is inside by 11pm, groups are capped at three units, and stag and hen parties are turned away. Children can help feed the sheep and chickens in the evening, and anglers can book lake pegs separately. Dogs are welcome in the pods but not the bell tents.
