Charoland is a small, quiet site in the hamlet of Greenhalgh, on a working farm surrounded by meadows. It has just ten pitches, for caravans and motorhomes only, and nobody under 18 is allowed on site. Each pitch is hardstanding, either block paving or webbing laid under the grass, with space for a car and an awning and a metered 16 amp hook-up.

The amenities are simple and well kept: a toilet and shower block with separate men's and women's sides, a sheltered service area with fresh water, waste points and chemical disposal, recycling bins, and a screened picnic and barbecue area around a small pond. There is a small supermarket, a Greggs and a Subway within a 15 minute walk.

Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement (up to two, on a lead at all times, and not in the shower block). Visitors, generators and open fires are not allowed, and the minimum stay is two nights. Poulton-le-Fylde is six miles away and Blackpool nine.
