Spring Valley is a small adults-only site on the Sproatley road near Preston, east of Hull. There are about 25 grass and hardstanding pitches around a wildlife pond, taking motorhomes, caravans, campervans, trailer tents and small to medium tents, with 10 amp hook-ups. A few paddock pitches suit larger tents.

Alongside the pitches, restored stables and barns have been turned into self-contained lodges and chalets, from one to three bedrooms, including a Titanic-themed lodge looking over the lake. The site says holiday lets together sleep up to 20.

There is no bar or cafe on site, but takeaway menus are kept at reception and food is delivered to your pitch. The Constable Arms in Sproatley is a mile away, and the 277 bus stops outside the gate for Hull and Hedon. The coast is about 15 minutes by car.
