Kynance Camping is a basic summer-only site on the Lizard peninsula, in a flat twelve-acre grass field. It is about a seven-minute stroll into Lizard village and a 20-minute off-road walk to Kynance cliffs and the cove. The site is off-grid and set up for backpackers, dog walkers, families and friends in tents and motorhomes.
Facilities are simple: showers, a wash-up area, flush and eco toilets, phone charging and recycling. Campfires and barbecues are allowed, and there are bell tents that sleep up to four, with a double and two singles, a fire pit and a BBQ. Skies are dark at night because there is little artificial light. The site only opens in July, August and September, so the online booking calendar shows nothing outside those months.
