Carrick Dhu Holiday Park

Carrick Dhu is run by Causeway Coast and Glens council on the A2 between Portrush and Portstewart, about a mile out of Portrush. Across the road are rock pools and the coast path, and West Bay beach, a couple of restaurants and Ballyreagh golf course are all within a kilometre on foot.

There are 35 recently rebuilt touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes, hard-surfaced with artificial grass, electric hook-up and a bit more room than before (pitches 14 to 18 are longer, for motorhomes). Twenty separate tent pitches are booked by phone. The site has a shower and laundry block with disabled access, a play area, a chip shop and coffee shop and a recreation hall with table tennis. Awnings need metal pegs set in the natural grass at the edge of the artificial turf. A bus stops by the entrance for Portrush and Portstewart.
